Mabilisang itinutulak ng Amerika at Pilipinas ang Pax Silica Initiative, ayon kay United States Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Lipton.
Ang Pax Silica ay inisyatibo ng US Department of Defense para sa artificial intelligence (AI) at supply chain security.
Bahagi ng inisyatibong ito ang pagtatayo ng mahigit 1,600 ektaryang AI-native industrial acceleration hub sa New Clark City, Tarlac.

Sa isang X post ni Lipton noong Biyernes, Hulyo 31, ibinahagi niya ang larawan nila ni Executive Secretary Ralph Recto matapos ang kanilang “great meeting.”

Samantala, sa isang hiwalay na post naman ay pinuri ni Lipton si Department of National Defense (DND) Sec. Gilbert Teodoro sa bwelta nito sa mga pumupuna sa Pax Silica.
Ayon kay Teodoro, ang Pax Silica umano ay hakbang tungo sa national resilience.
“So, for the critics, a closed mindset in today's day and age means to say that you'll never be able to position your country to face the challenges of the future," dugtong pa niya.

Sa katunayan, isa-isa nilang pinabulaanan ang mga pahayag ng Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) kaugnay sa potensyal na epekto ng naturang proyekto.
