Kinumpirma ng Senado na sumailalim kamakailan sa isang insidente ng website defacement o hindi awtorisadong pagbabago ang opisyal nitong website matapos ma-hack, ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng Senate EDP-MIS.

Sa pahayag nitong Huwebes, Hunyo 11, 2026, sinabi ng Senado na agad na nagpatupad ng mga security protocol ang kanilang technical team matapos matukoy ang insidente upang mapigilan ang posibleng paglawak ng problema at masimulan ang masusing imbestigasyon.
"We would like to inform the public that the Senate website was recently subjected to an unauthorized modification, commonly referred to as a website defacement," ayon sa pahayag.
Ayon pa sa Senado, agad nilang nilimitahan ang epekto ng insidente at nagsagawa ng komprehensibong pagsusuri upang matukoy ang sanhi at lawak ng hindi awtorisadong aktibidad sa website.

"Upon detection of the incident, our technical team immediately initiated security protocols, contained the issue, and commenced a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause and extent of the unauthorized activity. Additional security measures are also being implemented to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future," dagdag nito.
Batay sa paunang pagsusuri, sinabi ng Senado na wala pang indikasyon na nakompromiso ang anumang kumpidensyal o sensitibong impormasyon.
"Based on our initial assessment, there is no indication that any confidential or sensitive information has been compromised. The website primarily contains publicly available documents and informational materials intended for public access," ayon sa pahayag.
Tiniyak din ng Senado sa publiko na nananatiling prayoridad nito ang seguridad at integridad ng mga sistema nito habang nagpapatuloy ang pagmamanman at imbestigasyon sa insidente.
"We assure the public that protecting the integrity and availability of our systems remains a top priority. We continue to closely monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary," saad pa ng Senado.
Hindi naman nagbigay ng karagdagang detalye ang Senado kung kailan eksaktong naganap ang insidente at kung sino ang posibleng nasa likod ng umano’y website defacement.
Patuloy ang imbestigasyon habang ipinatutupad ang karagdagang cybersecurity measures upang maiwasan ang kahalintulad na insidente sa hinaharap.
