Inilahad sa publiko ni Lead House Prosecutor at Batangas 2nd District Rep. Gerville Luistro na hangarin daw niyang maalala siya ng mga Pilipino bilang congresswoman na tumindig para sa interes ng publiko.
Matatandaang si Luistro ang tumayong chairperson ng House Committee on Justice sa naging pagsisiyasat ng Kamara sa impeachment complaints laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Sa kasalukuyan, tumaas na sa Senado ang articles of impeachment laban kay VP Sara at nakatakdang magsimula ang Senate Impeachment Trial ng kanilang pagdinig sa darating na Hulyo 6, 2026.

Sa naging pahayag naman ni Luistro sa panayam sa kaniya ng isang TV station nitong Lunes, Hunyo 1, 2026, sinabi niyang itinuturing daw niyang sagrado ang kaniyang tungkulin para sa mga Pilipino at nais niyang maalala siya ng publiko bilang nanindigang mambabatas mula sa probinsya ng Batangas.

“Beyond politics, beyond the impeachment process, beyond the resolve of this impeachment trial, I appreciate this Bar as a sacred duty to sovereign Filipino people,” pagsisimula niya.
Diin niya, “I want to be remembered as a congresswoman from Batangas who stood firm in standing for the people of the Philippines.”
Ani Luistro, wala na raw kaugnayan sa politikal at pampersonal nilang interes ang pagsusulong nila ng impeachment case laban kay VP Sara dahil para na raw ito sa lahat ng Pilipino sa buong mundo.
“Because after all they are the people who we are representing here. This does not involve our personal interest, this does not involve our political interest, it involves sa interest of every Filipino across the world,” aniya.
Saad ni Luistro, lilipas daw ang 10 taon at mapag-uusapan pa rin ang magiging impeachment trial laban kay VP Sara at mahalaga daw na makita sa kasaysayan na nanindigan silang 11 na mga miyembro ng House Prosecution Panel.
“Of course ten years from today or perhaps a certain period of time, mapapag-usapan ito impeachment na ito. But regardless of what would be the result, what is important, these eleven prosecutors responded to their constitutional duty,” ‘ika niya.
“Hindi kami tumalikod, hindi kami umurong regardless of what would be the consequence. We stood firm, we stood firm to represent the best interest of the Filipino people,” pagtatapos pa niya.
