Pinaigting ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang pagtugis sa pitong itinuturing na at-large na akusado sa kontrobersiya sa flood control project sa Oriental Mindoro, kabilang si dating kongresista Zaldy Co.
Sa isang pahayag nitong Huwebes, Nobyembre 27, 2025, sinabi ng PNP na iniatas ni Acting Chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. sa mga yunit ng pulisya na palakasin ang operasyon para sa pagsuko o pag-aresto sa mga akusado.
Ayon kay Nartatez, “With the way the operations are being carried out now, we in the PNP are confident that all the remaining accused in this case will be accounted for. This is part of the PNP’s commitment to truth and accountability in relation to this case.”
Noong Martes, Nobyembre 25, inaresto ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) at Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP) si Engineer Montrexis Tamayo, officer-in-charge ng Planning and Design Division ng DPWH-Mimaropa, pagdating niya sa NAIA Terminal 3 mula sa United Arab Emirates (UAE).

9 na sa 16 na akusadong may warrant of arrest ang nasa kustodiya ng mga awtoridad.

Noong Nobyembre 18, naghain ang Ombudsman sa Sandiganbayan ng mga kasong kaugnay ng katiwalian at malversation of public funds laban kina Co at iba pa. Ang mga kaso ay may kaugnayan sa umano’y maanomalyang P289-milyong flood control project sa Oriental Mindoro.
Ito ang unang mga kasong isinampa laban sa mga sangkot umano sa flood control kickback scheme na unang ibinunyag ni President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa kanyang ika-apat na State of the Nation Address noong Hulyo.
Noong Nobyembre 21, inanunsyo ni Marcos na inilabas na ang mga arrest warrant laban sa mga akusado.
