Hindi kumbinsido si Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa na si Mark Allan Arevalo ang totoong may-ari ng Wawao Builders na humarap sa pagdinig sa Senado.

Sa latest X post ni MJ nitong Lunes, Setyembre 1, sinabi niyang dummy CEO umano si Mark.

“The owner of Wawao Builders na nanginginig sa hearing. Obviously is a dummy CEO,” saad ni MJ.

Umani tuloy ng samu’t saring reaksiyon mula sa mga netizen ang nasabing post. Narito ang ilan sa kanilang mga komento:

Matatandaang batay sa isiniwalat ni dating Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Sec. Manuel Bonoan sa unang pagdinig sa Senado,  ghost projects umano ang ilan sa flood control  na ipinagkaloob sa Wawao Builders, Inc sa Bulacan.

Ayon kay Bonoan, umabot umano sa  ₱5.9 bilyon ang halaga ng kontratang ibinigay sa Wawao. 

“In Bulacan alone, Wawao Builders had 85 projects amounting to 5.9 billion [...]  There seems to be some ghost projects,” anang kalihim.

Kinumpirma naman ito ni DPWH Usec. for Planning Services Maria Catalina Cabral sa ikalawang pagdinig matapos siyang tanungin ni Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada tungkol dito.

You believe, you support, the statement of the former Secretary [Bonoan] that, indeed, there are ghost projects?” tanong ni Estrada.

Sagot ni Cabral, “Yes po, Your Honor.”
