Ipinahayag ni Senior Deputy Speaker at Pampanga 3rd district Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. na ipinapakita umano ng naging pagtaas ng trust at approval ratings ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa third quarter survey ng OCTA Research na suportado ng mga Pilipino ang desisyon ng Kamara na i-realign ang confidential funds ng ilang mga ahensya ng gobyerno.

Matatandaang sa inilabas na resulta ng survey ng OCTA nitong Linggo, Oktubre 29, tumaas sa 60% ang trust rating ni Romualdez nitong Oktubre, mula sa 54% na natanggap niya noong Hulyo.

Mula naman sa 55% noong second quarter ng taon ay naging 61% na umano ang approval rating ng House leader nitong Oktubre 2023.

Kaugnay nito, binanggit ni Gonzales na isinagawa ang naturang survey mula Setyembre 30 hanggang Oktubre 4, kung kailan umano naging mainit na usap-usapan ang pag-reallocate ng Kamara sa confidential at intelligence funds (CIFs) ng ilang civilian offices para sa mga ahensyang nakatutok sa “national security.”

“They agreed with the House decision as reflected in the significant increase in the levels of their trust and their approval of the performance of our leader, Speaker Romualdez,” ani Gonzales.

“That’s one way of looking at the survey numbers. Another way is the public is largely supportive of the all-out help our Speaker and the House in general have been extending to our President in making life better for our people,” dagdag pa niya.

Matatandaang noong Setyembre 27 nang ianunsyo ng Kamara na ililipat nito ang 2024 confidential funds ng ilang mga ahensya ng gobyerno sa intelligence at security forces na naatasang tumugon sa tumataas na banta sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Kasama sa naturang mga ahensyang tatanggalan umano ng confidential funds sa 2024 ang Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd) na parehong hawak ni Vice President Sara Duterte.

Samantala, matatandaang sa kaparehong survey ng OCTA ay bumaba naman umano ang trust at approval ratings nina Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at Vice President Duterte.
