Naghahanda na ang Diocese of Antipolo para sa pormal na pagdedeklara ng Antipolo Cathedral bilang “international shrine” sa darating na Enero sa susunod na taon.

Sa isang panayam sa Radio Veritas, ipinahayag ni Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos na bahagi ng kanilang paghahanda para sa formal declaration ceremony sa Enero 26, 2024 ang palaganapin ang debosyon sa revered Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage sa Pilipinas at sa ibang bansa.

“We should be proud of our Mother. Let us spread devotion to her in the country and abroad where I hope novenas to Nuestra Señora dela Paz y Buenviaje will be celebrated. I laud our rector Fr. Reynante Tolentino’s efforts to bring the image of Our Lady in other countries,” ani Bishop Santos.

“We also continue to hold the Hapag in Maria in parishes under the jurisdiction of the diocese. The Hapag is not only a feeding program, it also provides the poor and the needy with livelihood opportunities and scholarship for their children,” dagdag niya.

Antipolo Cathedral, magiging international shrine na sa Marso 25

Kilala na bilang International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, ang Antipolo Cathedral ay ang unang international shrine sa bansa, pangatlo sa Asya, at pang-11 sa buong mundo.

Idineklara ito ni Pope Francis bilang international shrine noong Marso 25, 2023.
