Muling nanawagan si Senador Christopher “Bong” Go sa Kongreso na ipasa na ang Senate Bill No. 2261 o ang Caregivers’ Welfare Act dahil nararapat lamang umano na magkaroon ng mas mataas na sahod at benepisyo ang mga caregiver sa bansa.
Ayon kay Go, co-sponspor ng nasabing panukala, kilala ang mga sa mundo ang dedikasyon ng mga Pinoy caregiver, kung saan inaalagaan umano nila ang iba na tulad ng pag-aalaga at pagmamahal nila sa kanilang pamilya.
“We cannot deny the hard work of a caregiver. They often leave their families behind to support their loved ones. Their hard work in life includes the sadness of being separated from their family,” saad ni Go.
Sa ilalim ng panukalang batas, magpapatupad ng guidelines para sa preparasyon at pagsasagawa ng employment contracts, submission ng pre-employment requirements, oras ng trabaho, minimum wage, settlement of disputes, at mga benepisyo.

“The bill also reiterated the grant of 13th month pay, leave benefits, and other benefits provided by law, and basic necessities for the caregiver,” ani Go. “Protection is also provided in case of unjust dismissal or termination of service by the employer of the caregiver and a mechanism on the settlement of disputes.”
Pinasalamatan din ng senador ang Senate Committee on Labor and Employment sa pagbuo ng nasabing panukala para sa mga caregiver.
