Pinaplano na ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na buwagin ang kanilang online portal na Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) matapos mabisto na ginagamit umano ng mga fixer upang mai-renew ang driver's license ng ibang indibidwal.

Ito ang isinapubliko ni LTO chief Teofilo Guadiz III sa isinagawang pagdinig ng Senate Committee on Finance sa mungkahing ₱167.12 bilyong badyet ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) para sa 2023.

Maaari aniyang ibang tao ang kumukuha ng pagsusulit sa ilalim ng nasabing sistema upang mapaboran ang ilang indibidwal na nagre-renew ng lisensya kapalit ng kanilang bayad."In most of these cases, I would say 75 to 80 percent, it is another person who is taking the seminar, it is another person who is taking the examination. We feel that this is reprehensible," pahayag ni Guadiz.

"So we are evaluating this and my inclination is just to totally abolish this portal," banggit nito.

"Kulang lang 'yung app ng facial recognition to effectively use the portal. If that feature is added, hindi na pwedeng mandaya dahil dapat kitang-kita nung portal 'yung nag-e-exam. We’re in that process now of developing this facial recognition not only in this portal in renewing drivers’ license but our future plan is the driver license renewal will now be done online," dagdag pa ng opisyal.
