Ayon sa Malacañang, hindi na kailangang panatilihin ang Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) dahil ang mga kapangyarihan nito sa pag-iimbestiga ay hindi umaayon sa pagsisikap ng administrasyon sa ilalim ni Pang. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. na pahusayin ang burukrasya.
Sinabi ni Press Secretary Beatrix Rose "Trixie" Cruz-Angeles na inalis na ang PACC dahil ito ay hindi naaayon sa streamlining.
"First of all, its nature is investigative which can also be conducted by the Office of the Ombudsman. So, usually, what they do is they gather evidence on presidential appointees and file the case with the Ombudsman," ani Cruz-Angeles sa isang Palace press briefing.
Dagdag pa ni Cruz-Angeles na ang isang complainant ay maaaring direktang magsampa ng kaso sa Office of the Ombudsman para sa imbestigasyon.

Aniya, sa madaling salita, may mga ahensya ng gobyerno na tinutugunan na ito kaya hindi na kailangan ng PACC.
Ang PACC, na nilikha sa pamamagitan ng Executive Order 43 na nilagdaan ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong Oktubre 4, 2017, ay nagsisilbing lead agency na inatasan na alisin ang lahat ng uri ng katiwalian sa executive department.
Ang PACC, sa malapit na koordinasyon sa iba't ibang ahensya ng gobyerno at tagapagpatupad ng batas, ay nag-iimbestiga at nangangalap ng ebidensya para sa referral sa Ombudsman laban sa mga pampublikong opisyal na inakusahan ng katiwalian.
May awtoridad din itong magsagawa ng lifestyle check at fact-finding investigation sa mga empleyado ng gobyerno na umano'y sangkot sa mga gawaing tiwaling.
Noong Hunyo 30, nilagdaan ni PBBM ang kanyang kauna-unahang executive order bilang pagbubuwag sa dalawang tanggapang pinangangasiwaan ng Office of the President upang aniya'y makatipid sa gitna ng pandemya ng coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) at maiwasan ang pagdodoble ng trabaho sa pamahalaan.

“The administration endeavors to achieve a comprehensive and meaningful recovery through a just allocation of resources and a simplified internal management and governance of the Office of the President and its immediate offices and common staff support system. In order to achieve simplicity, economy and efficiency in the bureaucracy without effecting disruptions in internal management and governance, the administration shall streamline processes and procedures by reorganizing… and abolishing duplicated and overlapping official functions,” ayon sa kautusan ni Marcos.
Dahil dito, ililipat na sa Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs ang trabaho ng PACC.
“The Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs shall make recommendations on matters requiring its action to the Executive Secretary for approval, adoption or modification by the President,” banggit ng Pangulo.
Isasailalim naman sa pangangasiwa ng Presidential Management Staff (PMS) ang mga tauhan ng Office of the Cabinet Secretary.
