Si Liwagon na miyembro ng multi-titled Philippine Army chess team ay nanaig kina fellow six pointers Ervil Villa at engineer Arjoe Loanzon via superior tiebreaks tungo sa coveted title sa one-day National Chess Federation of the Philippines-sanctioned rapid tournament na matagumpay na inorganisa ng Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA) sa gabay ni president Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe.

Tumapos naman si Information Technology expert Jose Cada ng fourth overall na may 5.5 points, kaparehas ng naitala ni fifth placer Reynaldo Aba-a.

Ang mga nakapasok sa top 10 ay na may tig-5 points ay sina 6th place Narquingel Reyes, 7th place Dr. Alfred Paez, 8th place Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe, 9th place engineer Ravel Canlas ng PAGCOR at 10th place Nelman Lagutin.

Nanguna naman sa grupo ng five pointers sina Karlycris Clarito Jr., Junsen Audric Maranan at Lemmuel Jay Adena.
