Nagsampa ng kasong grave threats ang Department of Justice laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte kaugnay sa pagbabanta umano ng huli sa buhay ng Pangulo, First Lady, at dating House Speaker.
Sa pagkukumpirma ni DOJ spokesperson Atty. Polo Martinez sa panayam sa kaniya ng media noong Martes, Agosto 11, 2026, nilinaw niyang may kaugnayan din ang inirekomendang kaso ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa kanila noon at kamakailang tinalakay sa Senate impeachment trial tungkol sa naging pagbabanta ng bise presidente.
“For context, this is the same matter referred by the NBI to the DOJ and just currently one of the subjects of the ongoing impeachment against the Vice President,” pagsisimula niya.
Ani Martinez, nakita raw ng kanilang mga prosekyutor na may prima facie evidence at katanggap-tanggap na rason laban kay VP Sara kaugnay sa naturang pagbabanta nito sa buhay ng Pangulo at iba pa.
“After preliminary investigation, ang nangyari po is nakita po ng ating mga prosecutors that there was a prima facie evidence for reasonable certainty of conviction to indict the Vice President for the term of grave threats,” aniya.
Inciting to sedition vs VP Sara, ibinasura ng DOJ!
Pagpapatuloy ni Martinez, naisampa na raw nila ang naturang kaso sa Quezon City Regional Trial Court at maghihintay na lang daw sila ng karagdagang impormasyon sa naturang Korte.
“By means of Cyber Crime Prevention Act. At this stage, the information is being filed at Court. It’s now in the jurisdiction of the Court ng RTC QC. Sa kanila na po tayo titingin for further updates and what will the process will be,” ‘ika niya.
“Since it’s grave threats tapos may cybercrime element doon, aggregated siya,” pagtatapos pa niya.
Samantala, paglilinaw ni Martinez, aabot sa halagang ₱120,000 ang recommended bail para sa kasong kinakaharap ni VP Sara.
