Siniguro ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr. na iimbestigahan nila ang napaulat na mga abandonadong kabaong na namataan sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Metro Manila nitong Biyernes, Agosto 7.
Ayon sa kumpirmasyon ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), namataan ang mga nasabing ataul sa Sta. Cruz, Manila; Brgy. 54, Caloocan City; Brgy. South Triangle, Quezon City; Brgy. Sta. Teresita, Quezon City; at Gil Puyat, Makati City.

Sa pahayag na ibinahagi ni Nartatez nito ring Biyernes, Agosto 7, idiniin niya rin ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng PNP sa ibang mga ahensya at lokal na pamahalaan hinggil sa nasabing mga ataul.
“The Philippine National Police (PNP) is aware of the circulating videos and social media posts regarding abandoned caskets reportedly found in different parts of Metro Manila,” saad ni Nartatez sa kaniyang pahayag.
Dagdag pa niya, “The concerned police units are validating each reported incident and are coordinating with the respective local government units and other appropriate agencies to determine the circumstances surrounding the recovery of the caskets.”
Anang hepe, “secured” na ang mga naturang kabaong—na siyang gagamitin bilang bahagi ng isasagawang imbestigasyon, kasama na rin ang iba pang materyales na kaugnay dito.
“The recovered caskets, together with other materials found at the scene, have been secured as part of the investigation to establish their origin, purpose, and whether any laws or local ordinances may have been violated,” anang hepe.
Aniya, “The PNP encourages the public to rely only on verified information from official sources and to refrain from sharing unverified claims or speculation that may cause unnecessary confusion. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is encouraged to report it to the nearest police station, through official PNP communication channels, or by calling Unified 911.”
“The PNP assures the public that the matter is being looked into by the concerned police units in coordination with the appropriate authorities. Updates will be provided, as necessary, based on verified information and the progress of the investigation,” pagtatapos ni Nartatez.
