Nagpaabot ng mensahe si dating Anakalusugan Party-list Rep. Mike Defensor para kay Vice President Sara Duterte matapos sila nitong bisitahin sa Quezon City Jail noong Martes, Agosto 4.
Matatandaang kinumpirma ng Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) ang pagdalaw ng Bise Presidente kay Defensor, gayundin kina Sen. Rodante Marcoleta at Sen. Jinggoy Estrada.
Sa Facebook account ni Defensor, mababasa ang post ng pasasalamat niya kay VP Sara.
“Thank you for taking the time to visit us. Please do not worry about us—we will keep the faith,” saad ni Defensor.
Dagdag pa niya, “The fight against corruption must continue for the sake of our people and the future of the Filipino nation.”

Bukod dito, nagbigay din si Defensor ng pampapalakas-loob sa Bise Presidente na humaharap ngayon sa impeachment trial.
Aniya, “Stay strong throughout the impeachment proceedings. We will remain steadfast here, just as you must remain steadfast for the Filipino people. May God continue to guide and strengthen you.”
Matatandaang kinumpirma ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Jonvic Remulla ang pagdakip kay Defensor kasama ang negosyanteng si Joseph Espiritu sa isang coffe shop noong Hulyo 6.
Sina Defensor at Espiritu ay kasamang inisyuhan ng Sandiganbayan 3rd Division ng arrest order matapos nilang makitaan ng probable cause ang plunder case laban kay Sen. Marcoleta.
