Inanunsyo ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) na sinisimulan na nilang ikasa ang deliberasyon hinggil sa petisyong taas-pasahe kaugnay sa patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo.

Ayon sa ulat na ibinahagi ng LTFRB sa kanilang Facebook page nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 30, ang deliberasyon ay may paggabay ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Giovanni Lopez—kung saan tiningnan ang naturang petisyon na nagmula sa Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (PISTON), Metro Comet Transport Service Cooperative, UV Express National Alliance of the Philippines, United Transportation Coalition of the Philippines, at Manibela; ang limang major transport groups sa bansa.

“We are already reviewing and discussing all the pending petitions for fare hike and as per instruction by Secretary Banoy, we have to come up with the recommendation in the soonest possible time,” saad ni LTFRB chair Atty. Vigor Mendoza II sa isang pahayag.

Sakop ng naturang petisyon para sa dagdag-pasahe ay ang passenger jeepneys, passenger buses, UV Express, taxis, at motorcycle taxis.

Anang LTFRB, ikokonsidera sa nasabing deliberasyon ang ilang mga konsiderasyon gaya ng inflationary effects, at ang kakayahan ng mga komyuter na pasanin ang nasabing posibleng dagdag-pasahe.

“We assure everybody that the LTFRB will always take the path of measures that recognizes the interest of the PUV sector but ensuring that the welfare of commuters and the general public are protected,” anang LTFRB chair.
