Inanunsyo ng Department of National Defense (DND) nitong Martes, Hulyo 21, na si Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete ang nakatakdang humalili kay General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. bilang bagong Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
“The Department of National Defense, upon the authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., announces the appointment of Lieutenant General Antonio G Nafarrete as the incoming Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), following the retirement of General Romeo S Brawner Jr, today,” saad ng DND sa kanilang anunsyo.
“The DND congratulates Lieutenant General Nafarrete and Lieutenant General Gumiran on their appointments and looks forward to their leadership in upholding professionalism, excellence, and dedicated service to the Filipino people,” saad pa ng ahensya.
