Tumirada ang political content creator at isa sa mga founder ng media channel na Peanut Gallery Media Network (PGMN) na si Franco Mabanta laban kay Leyte 1st District Representative at dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez kung handa ba raw kitilin ng huli ang kaniyang buhay.

Sa inilabas na video statement ni Mabanta sa social media accounts, partikular sa Facebook, ng PGMN nitong Sabado, Hulyo 11, 2026, tila inamin niya si Romualdez kung handa ba raw siya nitong patayin.
“The whole country knows how unequivocally willing you are to cross one of those two lines. The question is, how willing are you to cross the other? Are you willing to kill me? Because, motherfucker, I finally understand my purpose now,” pagsisimula niya.
Ani Mabanta, matagal na raw siyang nasa sitwasyong nasa bingit ng kamatayan ang kaniyang buhay at hindi naman daw niya pinlanong lumaban sa mga katulad ni Romualdez, na bibihira lang daw na mga indibidwal ang may kakayahang gumawa.

“I am in a situation that basically [is] do or die. We all know that. I didn’t plan this but circumstances pushed me into a fight that very few people are willing to take on,” aniya.
Dagdag pa niya, “In the past, I was always more of an operator. A kingmaker in the background. But now history has placed me at the front line and I don’t know.”
Diin ni Mabanta, ang pagkakaroon daw siguro niya ng kaalaman kung paano kumilos ang mga tulad ni Romualdez, maintindihan ang loob ng sistema, at malaman ang kahinaan ng ilang mga personalidad sa politika ang dahilan kung bakit daw siya nalagay sa sitwasyong kinakaharap niya ngayon.
“Maybe that’s exactly why I was put here. Because I know how people like you operate, I know the system from the inside, and intimately, I understand the game, the personalities, the weaknesses, the ulterior motives, the machinery behind everything,” ‘ika niya.
Giit pa niya, “In many ways that makes me one of the few people actually capable of fighting this war properly.”
Patutsada ni Mabanta, mga ganid at handa diumanong kumitil ang mga tulad ni Romualdez at gampanin daw niyang labanan ang huli hanggang hindi siya namamatay sa layuning ito.
“Martin Romualdez, yours is the kind of breathtaking greed and corruption that literally kills. My purpose is to not stop until I see justice done to you. I want to let you know that I am willing to die for that purpose,” pagtatapos niya.
Samantala, habang sinusulat ito, wala pa namang inilalabas na pahayag, tugon, o reaksyon ang kampo ni Romualdez kaugnay rito.
