Ipinagdiinan ng Office of the Ombudsman ang mga ebidensyang basehan umano nila hinggil sa plunder case na kanilang isinampa kay Sen. Rodante Marcoleta nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 3, 2026.
"Today, we filed a plunder case against Sen. Rodante Marcoleta before the Sandiganbayan," anang Ombudsman sa kanilang pahayag nito ring Biyernes.
Depensa pa nila, hindi rin daw basta-basta ang desisyon nilang sampahan ng plunder case ang nasabing senador.
"This was not a decision made lightly or by choice. The evidence includes three cash donations totaling ₱75 million, undeclared in the senator's SALN and campaign finance reports," saad ng Ombudsman.
May mensahe rin ang Ombudsman hinggil sa ikinasang rally ng Iglesia Ni Cristo, kontra sa plunder case ni Marcoleta.

"We recognize this case has stirred intense public debate, and we respect every citizen's right to an opinion, to rally, and to demand accountability, including from us," giit pa ng ahensya.
Hirit pa nila, "What we ask in return is what we ourselves commit to: let the facts and the law decide, not sentiment or fear."
Paglilinaw pa ng Ombudsman, wala raw lugar ang pananahimik para sa anumang paglabag sa batas.
"Senator Marcoleta retains the presumption of innocence and every right to defend himself before the Sandiganbayan. We did not choose this fight. But when the law leaves no room for silence, silence is not an option," anila.
Samantala, sa hiwalay na pahayag ni Marcoleta sa INC rally noong Hulyo 1, iginiit niyang nakahanda raw siyang makulong.
“Nakahanda po akong magpakulong. Kung kinakailangang maaresto po ako wala pong problema,” anang senador.
