Inanunsyo ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) na sila ay kasalukuyang nasa “full alert” kasunod ang yumanig na 7.8 magnitude na lindol sa Sarangani nitong Lunes, Hunyo 8.
Sa ulat na ibinahagi ng Philippine Red Cross nito ring Lunes, Hunyo 8, sinabi nilang sila ay nag-deploy na ng volunteers at mga ambulansya upang rumesponde sa naturang insidente.
“The Philippine Red Cross remains on full alert following the Magnitude 7.8 earthquake west of General Santos,” saad ng Philippine Red Cross.
Anila, “As part of its immediate response, 17 Red Cross volunteers have been activated while ambulances were deployed in North Cotabato, South Cotabato, and Gingoog City to assist affected communities and monitor the situation on the ground.”
“In North Cotabato National High School, PRC responders provided assistance to 13 students who experienced hyperventilation following the earthquake. Hospitals and communities in affected areas continue to be monitored by [the] PRC,” dagdag pa nila.
Iginiit din ng Philippine Red Cross ang nagpapatuloy nilang obserbasyon at pagbabantay sa sitwasyon matapos ang nangyaring pagyanig.
“The Philippine Red Cross continues to assess the situation and remains ready to provide immediate humanitarian assistance should the need arise,” anila.
Samantala, sinuspinde na rin ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. ang klase sa lahat ng mga apektadong lalawigan sa Mindanao.
"I am also ordering the suspension of classes in all levels across affected areas in Mindanao until further notice. The safety of our children comes first. DepEd will coordinate with local government units on this," saad ni PBBM.

Patuloy din ang pagbabantay ng Department of Energy (DOE) kaugnay naman sa power at fuel supply ng mga naapektuhang lugar ng lindol.
