"Former Senate President Tito Sotto, who's haters often point out his background as a comedian to smear and belittle him, showed why he is a veteran Senator. He is not just Conservative when it comes to values and principles but also to institutional rules," mababasa sa post.

"The Conservative Senator Sotto, the leader of the minority, flexes his experience and mastery of the rules. To be frustration of his haters who belittles him as a mere comedian."

"Well, the one they call as Comedian Outsmarted their Lawyer Senator."

"Tito Sotto was already serving as Senator when both Juan Ponce Enrile and Miriam Defensor Santiago were in the Senate, specifically during the period from 1995 to 2001. Sotto’s first stint in the Senate ran from June 30, 1992 to June 30, 2004. Enrile served in the Senate from August 15, 1987 to June 30, 1992, and then again from June 30, 1995 to June 30, 2001. Santiago was elected and served from June 30, 1995 to June 30, 2001.

This means that during the 10th and 11th Congresses, all three were colleagues in the Senate, with Sotto having been there since 1992 and continuing through Enrile and Santiago’s terms. He is the longest-serving Philippine senator in history, and is the only one elected for five non-consecutive terms."

“I move to adjourn or a quorum call… That is a higher precedence,” saad ni Sotto.

'I only see the minority leader representing the minority.

“Kapag ba nag-walk out ang minority nawawala ’yong quorum? Nagsimula tayo may quorum. It doesn't matter if they walked out. I think we still have the quorum,” ani Marcoleta.

Dito na sumagot si Sotto at diretsahang bumanat ng, “The motion to adjourn is not debatable.

“Not upon a situation when they readily and willingly walked out.

“As reiterated by the Senate President and as conveyed by the minority leader, former Senate President, the rule states that the motion to adjourn takes precedence. I am not taking sides and we will adjourn session until 5 p.m., Monday, June 1,” anunsyo ni Legarda.

"Proud daughter of the comedian," ani Ciara.

"There’s nothing wrong for being a comedian thats an honest job but your Dad is an achiever ever since He is an executive in a Recording company and respected local politician. Your dad is Statesman."

"At least u admit that he is a comedian! Hahaha."

"You should be proud. Your father, Tito Sotto is not only a showbiz personality but also an intelligent, educated, and eloquent individual. He remains amicable and composed, even in confrontational situations. His upbringing and family background have instilled in him a deep understanding of the law, the senate, and its dynamics. Tito Sotto's knowledge in these areas is truly impressive, and his family's legacy in journalism and politics is a testament to his roots."
