Binigyang-pugay ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang mga nakapagtapos mula sa “Talang Dangal” Class of 2026 ng Philippine Military Academy (PMA) nitong Sabado, Mayo 16.
Sa kaniyang talumpati, ipinaalala ni PBBM sa mga nagsipagtapos ang kahalagahan ng katapatan sa konstitusyon at hindi sa sinumang politika o indibidwal.
“As you take your oath today, remember that your loyalty is not to any political interests, not to any individual nor any passing ideology. Your loyalty must always remain to the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines,” ani PBBM.
“Throughout this mission, carry with you the honor code instilled in you by the academy. Never lie, never cheat, never steal, and never tolerate those who do because silence in the face of wrongdoing is a betrayal of your values, a betrayal of your country, and a betrayal of the very principles you sworn to protect,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo.
Ipinaalala pa ni PBBM na sa pagtapak ng mga bagong kadete sa kanilang tungkulin, haharap sila sa iba’t ibang sitwasyon na susubok sa kanilang mga prinsipyo.

Ngunit mananatili silang matatag kung ang kanilang katapatan ay mananatili sa bansa at paninilbihan sa mga mamamayan.
“Along the way you will encounter a lot of forks in the road that will test your result, placing you in situations where you must choose between difficult options. But as long as your remain faithful to our flag and committed to serving our citizens, you will never lose direction,” saad ni PBBM.
Samantala, ipinahatid din ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang kaniyang malugod na pagbati sa “Talang Dangal” Class of 2026.

Sa kaugnay na ulat, ang mga nagsipagtapos ay binubuo ng 207 kadete na opisyal na sasali sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Pinangunahan naman ni Cadet First Class Christine Kaye Demisana Librada ng Lipa City, Batangas, ang seremonya ng pagtatapos.
Siya rin ang naging ika-siyam na babaeng kadete na nanguna sa PMA simula noong 1993.
Nakatada ring maging junior officer si Librada sa Philippine Army (PA).
