Nagdadalamhati ang komedyanteng si Tuesday Vargas sa estudyante ng University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) na si Alyssa Alano na kabilang sa mga nasawi sa engkuwentro sa Toboso, Negros Occidental.
Sa latest Facebook post ni Tuesday nitong Sabado, Abril 25, sinabi niyang sa kabila ng mga ingay, dapat alalahanin si Alyssa bilang isang taong mas piniling ilaan ang oras sa mga nasa marhinalisadong sektor ng lipunan.
Aniya, “Beyond the noise and the labels, we must remember her as someone who chose to spend her time with the marginalized, specifically the farmers of Negros who face the harsh realities of land grabbing every day.”
“It is easy for detractors to tear down a reputation after a life is lost, but the work she did speaks to a real, documented struggle in our countryside,” dugtong pa ni Tuesday.
Samantala, nilinaw naman ng komedyante na bagama’t hindi niya sinusuportahan ang armadong pakikibaka, naniniwala siyang ang paghahanap ng hustisya para sa mga maralita ay hindi krimen kailanman.

“I do not support the New People’s Army or any form of armed struggle. Violence is not the answer to our nation's problems. However, we must also be brave enough to admit that the injustices in places like Negros—militarization and the loss of ancestral lands—are very real,” saad ni Tuesday.
Kaya naman nanawagan siyang magsagawa ng isang masusing imbestigasyon sa nangyaring engkuwentro sa Toboso.
