Mariing nanindigan si International Career Support Association Representative Shunichi Fujiki sa United Nation Human Rights Council (UNHRC) na siyasatin at mabigyan ng pansamantalang paglaya si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Ayon sa isinagawang ika-61 na sesyon ng UNHRC noong Marso 11, 2026, inilahad ni Fujiki sa kanilang pagdinig ang umano’y hindi makatarungang sinapit ng dating Pangulo, na siyang matapang daw na sinugpo ang iligal na droga sa Pilipinas para maprotektahan ang milyon-milyong buhay ng mga Pilipino.
“I stand here to denounce a grave injustice to Rodrigo Roa Duterte, 80 years old, former President of the Philippines who bravely fought illegal drugs to protect the millions [who] has been unlawfully removed from the homeland and held prolonged pretrial detention by the ICC in The Hague,” pagsisimula niya.
Diin niya, “This is a critical prosecution and not justice.”

“The current administration extradited him without due process, bypassing Philippine court, and violating national sovereignty. He was extradited without any due process and no local court,” aniya.
Pagkukuwento ni Fujiki, eksaktong isang taon na raw ang nakalipas at patuloy na nagtitiis ang dating Pangulo sa piitan, malayo sa pamilya, at indahin ang umano’y malubha nitong kalusugan.
“Incidentally, on March 11, 2025, exactly one year ago today, this elderly leader endured detention, separated families, and serious health issues,” ‘ika niya.
Pagpapatuloy niya, umaapela raw ang lahat ng sumusuporta sa dating Pangulo sa buong mundo na payagan ang apela nitong pansamantalang paglaya, sa kabila ng pagbasura ng International Criminal Court (ICC) sa kahilingang ito nang tatlong beses.
“Global… and protests in The Hague and throughout the world demand the interim release which has been unlawfully denied by the ICC three times,” saad niya.
Dagdag pa niya, “This over one year pretrial detention raises profound questions about compliance with the Rome Statutes guarantees with human treatment and speedy trial. It is an affront to human dignity and the abuse of international justice for political ends.”
Matapos nito, mariing nanawagan si Fujiki sa konseho ng UN na tingnan ang kasong kinakaharap ni FPRRD sa ICC at mabigyan ito ng pansamantalang paglaya.
“We urge this council to denounce humanitarian review and interim release of President Duterte. Justice must be fair, not a weapon against the people,” tindig niya.
“The majority of the Filipino voice will not be silenced and depressed,” pagtatapos ni Fujiki.
