Ipinagbubunyi ng Pinoy mountaineering community ang matagumpay na pag-akyat sa tuktok ng Bundok Everest sa bansang Nepal ng dalawang Pinoy mountaineers na sina Elaine Jhon "Jeno" Panganiban at Miguel Angelo Mapalad.
Mababasa ang anunsyo nito sa official Facebook page ng "Seven Summit Treks," official mountaineering company na nakabase sa Nepal.
Mababasa sa kanilang Facebook post, "It’s official now – Philippines duo successfully summits Mt. Everest! "
"This morning (18 May) , Elaine Jhon Panganiban (Jeno) and Miguel Angelo Mapalad of the Philippines successfully reached the summit of Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha) at 8,848.86 meters as part of the Seven Summit Treks expedition team. Both climbers are members of the Philippine 14 Peaks Expedition Team."
