Ikinatuwa ni dating Vice President Leni Robredo ang pagpili sa kanilang documentary film na “And So It Begins” bilang official entry ng Pilipinas sa 97th Academy Awards o kilala rin bilang Oscars.
Sa isang Facebook post nitong Linggo, Setyembre 29, shinare ni Robredo ang post ng direktor ng kanilang “And So It Begins” na si Ramona S. Diaz.
“Congratulations!!! So proud of a Nagueña getting all the recognition so richly deserved. Ramona S. Diaz,” ani Robredo.
“I make documentary films to bear witness and to try to understand the homeland. It’s a complex, messy, endearing, infuriating, and captivating place all at once—as are all exciting places. And the more I delve into it, the more it eludes me. It is both knowable and unknowable,” saad ni Diaz.
“Taos pusong pasasalamt, FAP jurors, for this vote of confidence and for showing support for the documentary form. I’m deeply humbled and proud to represent the country as the official entry to the 97th Academy Awards. Nakakaiyak. And so we continue…” dagdag pa niya.
