Magandang balita dahil binuksan na ng Department of Health (DOH) ang kauna-unahang Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDPC) sa Region 1.
Sa isang kalatas na inilabas nitong Biyernes, nabatid na pinangunahan ni DOH Undersecretary for the Universal Health Care - Health Services Cluster for Northern and Central Luzon (UHC-HSC Area I) Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire ang pormal na pagbubukas ng bagong CDPC (Public Health Center), na matatagpuan sa Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) Annex sa Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City, noong Pebrero 13, kasabay ng isinagawang groundbreaking ng Multi-Purpose Building (Center for Cancer Patients).
Ayon kay Vergeire, ang bagong pasilidad ay magkakaloob ng high-end diagnosis, treatment at therapeutic services sa Region 1.
“This is one of the main thrust of the DOH, establishment of specialty centers that will provide state-of-the-art medical services to the people in the provinces,” aniya pa. “This facility for infectious diseases shall provide a pandemic preparedness center, which will help support in investigating, monitoring and preventing future diseases that may occur.”
Catanduanes, niyanig ng magnitude 6.1 na lindol
Ang Public Health Center ay isang P20 milyong proyekto na pinondohan sa pamamagitan ng DOH-Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP) na may suporta ng Deputy Speaker Kristine Singson-Meehan ng Ilocos Sur at Speaker Lord Allan Velasco ng House of Representatives.
Samantala, kabuuang P49 milyon ang inilaan sa konstruksiyon ng isang multi-purpose building na magiging center para sa mga cancer patients.
Binati naman ni DOH – Ilocos Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco ang R1MC sa kanilang patuloy na pagsusumikap na mapalawak ang kanilang medical heath facilities para matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga mamamayan ng Pangasinan.
“The completion of this project is a testament of your unwavering commitment to provide the best care possible for all. Kailangang pagibayuhin natin at itaas ang antas ng ating mga pampublikong ospital upang makasabay sa mga makabagong pamamaraan ng panggagamot at mabigyan ng sapat at dekalidad na serbisyo ang bawat Pilipino,” ani Sydiongco.
Nabatid na kabilang din sa mga dumalo sa aktibidad ay sina 4th District Congressman Christopher De Venecia, Former Speaker, House of Representative Jose C. De Venecia, Former Congresswoman Gina De Venecia, Dagupan City Mayor Belen T. Fernandez and R1MC officials led by Medical Center Chief Joseph Roland O. Mejia, CMPS Arnel Gerard R. Gazmen at ManCom Member Michael Canto.
