Opisyal nang nagbitaw ang bansang Ghana, sa pamamagitan ng MALZ Promotion, sa taunang international beauty pageant na Miss Universe (MU).
Sa pamumuno ni Menaye Donkor Muntari, opisyal na inihayag ang kanilang desisyon na talikuran ang kanilang lisensya para sa Miss Universe Ghana.
Ang dahilan ay dahil sa bago at biglaang pagpapatupad ng Miss Universe Organization Business Model sa ilalim ng pamumuno ng JKN Global Group, na ayon sa kanila ay hindi tugma sa layunin ng MALZ Promotions.
"… the new and sudden implementation of the Miss Universe Organization Business Model under the JKN Global Group's leadership are not aligned with MALZ Promotions’ brand objectives and would hence like to discontinue the relationship with Miss Universe," pahayag ng MALZ Promotion.
Diwata, nabudol nga ba ng sinalihang party-list?
"MALZ Promotions regrets any inconveniences that their decision may cause to fans and enthusiasts and wishes the Miss Universe Organization the very best in their future endeavors," dagdag pa nito sa opisyal na pahayag na inilabas noong Biyernes, Pebrero 10.
Nagpasalamat naman ang MALZ Promotion sa mga sumuporta sa kanila at maging sa organisasyon ng MU.
"Miss Universe Organization's dedication to WOMEN EMPOWERMENT is greatly appreciated and MALZ Promotions is thankful for their help to highlight the unique qualities of our country, Ghana, in the global arena."
Naniniwala naman ang MALZ Promotion na hindi ito ang katapusan kundi simula ng kanilang serbisyo para sa ikabubuti ng mamamayan ng Ghana.
"MALZ Promotions assures all fans and supporters that this is not the end of our service to the Ghanaian people, but rather a new beginning of a rewarding journey for us all."
