Nakatanggap ang Manila City government ng dalawang cold chain equipment para sa mga bakuna mula Japanese government nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 15.
PInangunahan ni Manila VIce Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan at City Health Officer Dr. Arnold Pangan ang turnover ceremony sa Manila City Hall.
Ibinigay ang refrigerators sa pamamagitan ng United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
Sinabi ni Lacuna na mapapalakas ng mga refrigerators ang mitigation efforts ng lungsod laban sa COVID-19.
Diwata, nabudol nga ba ng sinalihang party-list?
“This will further strengthen our storage capability and effectiveness in handling the vaccines against COVID-19,” ani Lacuna.
“Rest assured that we will continue to roll out our vaccines as we are now serving the 12-17 years old age bracket,” dagdag pa niya.
Dumalo sa seremonya si Japanese Ambasaddor Koshikawa Kazuhiko at mga opisyal mula sa UNICEF.
Nagbatid ng pasasalamat si Lacuna sa Japanese community at UNICEF Philippines sa pagbibigay tulong sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.
“We, in the City of Manila, under the dynamic stewardship of our local chief executive, Mayor Francisco Isko Moreno Domagoso, would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the government of Japan through UNICEF Philippines for the cold chain equipment that you are giving us for the vaccines,” aniya.
