TUTULAK na ang kauna-unahang 2019 Pinugay Non-Master Rapid Chess Tournament sa darating na Nobyembre 16 (Sabado) dakong alas-nuebe ng umaga na gaganapin sa Baras Pinugay Elementary School Phase 2, Baras, Rizal.

Ayon sa mga organizer na sina Frank Ramayla Jr., Robert Bolanos at guest of honor na si SK chairman Pauline Arimado, ipapatupad ang 20 minutes plus five seconds delay time control format, bukas sa lahat ng walang titulong manlalaro.

Libre ang pagpapatala, gayundin ang pagkain.

“This event would help grassroots players to develop their full potential as well as to recognized their individual strengths and skills. Moreover, we are inviting players from other places to make this event more exciting and to enrich our very own athletes the act of sportsmanship and camaraderie. Ruling the tournament proper, we are so proud to have US Master/Fide arbiter Almario Bernardino, our mentor, to give inspirations and to share his experience to all the young participants,” pahayag ni National Master Romeo Alcodia na siyang pangulo ng Pinugay Chess Club.

Tatangap ang magkakampeon ng P1,000 plus medal at trophy, nakalaan sa 2nd place ang P750 plus medal at trophy, maisusubi ng 3rd place ang P500 plus trophy at medal habang may P250 plus medal naman ang naghihintay sa 4th place. May nakalaan na medals sa 5th to 10th placers. Ang magwawagi bilang top high school player at top elementary player ay magbubulsa ng tig P200 plus medals.
