Target ng two-time defending champion Ateneo ang ika-9 straight na panalo sa UAAP season 82 men’s basketball sa laro nito laban sa Adamson University ngayon araw sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Sinabi ni Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin na inaasahan niyang hihigpitan ng Blue Eagles ang kanilang defense, gaya ng ginawa nila laban sa University of Santo Tomas noong nakaraang linggo.

Hindi pinaporma ng Ateneo ang mga shooter ng UST sa 66-52 victory nito.

“We need to continue to understand that there are more ways to attack our defense,” ani Baldwin. “And these coaches in our league are going to continue to probe and look for those ways. So there’s no time to rest, no time to look backward. Only to look forward to the next game.”

“Even if we’re marked men already, we still got to find a way to make our shots,” ayon kay Ahanmisi, na may average na 14 points a game.

Pipilitin naman ng Far Eastern University at UST na kumalas mula sa three-way tie sa third place.

Hangad ng Tamaraws na sungkitin ang second straight victory laban sa National University Bulldogs (1-7). Nais naman ng Growling Tigers na bumawi mula sa back-to-back na talo sa game nila laban sa UE Warriors (3-5).
