Fil-Italian Skater, nagpabilib sa Anaheim Figure Skating

MULI, isa pang figure skater na may dugong Pinoy ang nagpahanga sa international audience.

Impresibo ang naging palabas ni Filipino-Italian Alisson Krystle Perticheto, tanging Pinay na sumabak sa 2019 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships sa Anaheim, California, tungo sa matikas na 51.66 puntos na isang National record.

Tumapos si Perticheto sa ika-16 na skaters mula sa 22 kalahok na nagmula sa mga bansang biniyayaan nang malamig na klima at isang laro lamang ang ice skating.

Nasanay sa lugar na gamit ang artificial na ice skating rink, kahanga-hanga si Perticheto sa kanyang unang pagsabak sa Amerika.

“To compete to such an event like this, you need to get a minimal number of points to be allowed to represent the country. I did that earlier this season. So I feel very happy that I got the chance to represent the Philippines here in California,” pahayag ni Perticheto sa panayam ng Manila Bulletin Sports Online.

Iginiit ni Perticheto na mas mataas sana ang kanyang iskor kung hindi sa ilang pagkakamali na aminado niyang nagawa.

“I know I could have gotten higher points. But I made some mistakes in my free skate so I think it was fair,” aniya.

Kumpiyansa ang Pinay skaters na mas makakapag-perform siya nang mahusay sa mga susunod na torneo.

“After seeing more in detail the protocols of my programs, my coach (Roberto Moschella) and I will work more on improving the skating skills and transitions. I will also work on getting all my jumps and levels more consistent,” sambit ni Perticheto.

Ikinalugod niya ang aniya’y buong suporta ng kanyang mga kababayan at maging ang malaking bilang ng crowd na walang tigil sa pagbibigay sa kanya ng papuri.

“I was very surprised that so many people were following and supporting me! It didn’t add any pressure on me. It felt very comforting and motivated me even more! I tried to stay focused on myself before the competition so I can deliver a good performance,” aniya.

Kumpiyansa siya na makapagbibigay ng karangalan sa bansa sa pagsabak sa 30th Southeast Asian Games na gaganapin sa bansa sa Nobyembre. Kabilang ang figure skating sa aprubadong event sa biennial meet.

“I’m very excited for SEA Games 2019. I feel it’s going to be a very special event for me because it will be in the Philippines which is like skating at “home” for me! I will have the same mindset as every other competition. I think the most important to me is to not overthink, enjoy the moment and do my job,” pahayag ni Perticheto.
