“Let us remember Indonesian authorities are waiting from us, result of trial of Cristina Sergio and Julius Lacanilao, to prove that Mary Jane was trafficked and their victim as drug mule. Mary Jane was a victim, not user and not pusher,” ayon kay Bishop Ruperto Santos, chairman ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on the Pastoral care of Migrants and Itinerant People (CBCP-ECMI).

Kung kaya, sinabi niya na mas makabubuti “that our president would ask RTC 37 to speed up the trial of Cristina and Julius.”

“We appeal to our juridical officials to speed up the process. And so Mary Jane could be spared immediately of continual stay and suffering in prison,” pahayag ni Bishop Santos noong panahong ‘yon. “Indonesia court waits and will rely on our court decision.”

(Leslie Ann G. Aquino)
