Limang Bacolod boys na mula sa Tay Tung High School, apat sa St. John’s Institute at isang taga-Samar ang aabante sa National Training Camp ng Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 na inihahatid ng Alaska.

Makakasama nila ang apat na batang babae na galing din Ng Bacolod para naman sa Jr. WNBA.

Ang mga kabataang lalaki ay kinabibilangan nina Ralph Allen Cagalawan, 14; Christian Perigua, 13; Kent Dentin Esperagazo, 14; John Dexter Gigantana, 13 at Andy John Villamer, 14 ng Tay Tung High School; Andrei Lechoncito, 12; Daniel Coo, 13; Nicholas Steven Pura, 12 at Kurt Coloso, 14 ng St. John’s Institute at Kurt Jan Aparri ng Christ the King College sa Calbayog City.

Binubuo naman ang mga kababaihan nina Sheen Cotejo, 13, ng Bacolod City College; Dyna Sicil Nieves, 13, ng University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos; Luisa Martina dela Paz, 13, ng University of St. La Salle at Rodnie Mae Hodilena ng Luis Hervias National High School.

Sila ang magiging kinatawan ng rehiyon para sa Jr. NBA at WNBA National Training Camp na gaganapin sa susunod na buwan sa Manila.

Sila din ang nanguna mula sa may 370 mga kabataang manlalaro na may edad 10-14 na lumahok sa regional selection camp para sa Western Visayas

Napili sila ng Jr. NBA evaluation committee na kinabibilangan nina Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA head coach Chris Sumner, NBA Asia Director of Basketball Operations Craig Brown, Alaska coaches Rodney Santos, Eric dela Cuesta at Junjun Alas ng Alaska, Raffy Gonzalez at Ish Tiu, Vangie Soriano at Lhen Flormata ng Perlas Pilipinas.

“The players here were very impressive. This was a very competitive batch and we had a hard time deciding who were the best because they were all good. We were also very happy about the turn out here. The passion for basketball in this city is awesome and I am most impressed about the enthusiasm of the players, coaches and parents here. I’m excited to find out how they will perform in Manila,” pahayag ni Summer.

Dalawa pang Regional Selection Camps ang nalalabi, isa sa Davao City na gaganapin sa University of the Immaculate Conception sa Marso 28-29 at Manila sa PICC Forum sa Abril 11-12 bago idaos ang National Training Camp kung saan pipiliin ang sampung Jr. NBA at limang Jr. WNBA All-Stars at maging ang Coach of the Year.
