Naglabas ng pahayag ang dating child star na si Niño Muhlach kung saan inako niya ang responsibilidad sa nangyaring vehicular accident sa Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo noong Linggo, Agosto 23.
Sa isang Facebook post ni Niño noong Lunes, Agosto 24, nilinaw niyang hindi umano sa kaniya nagmula ang impormasyon na mechanical failure ang naging sanhi ng aksidente.
Ito raw ay batay sa preliminary findings ng kapulisan.
“The initial information released stating that the crash was caused by mechanical failure was based solely on the preliminary findings of the police investigation, not from my own words,” saad ni Niño.
Kasunod nito, inamin niyang kasalanan daw niya ang nangyari dahil nakaidlip siya habang bumibiyahe.

Aniya, “I want to be completely clear and honest: the accident was entirely my fault. Due to an extremely demanding and exhausting schedule, I fell asleep behind the wheel. Because the incident occurred on a Sunday, my regular driver was on his scheduled day off, and I was driving myself.”
"While fatigue overtook me, that is no excuse. Falling asleep at the wheel led directly to hitting a pedestrian and damaging neary accident,” dugtong pa ni Niño.
Kaya naman inaako niya ang lahat ng personal at legal na personalidad sa nangyari. Sa ngayon, prayoridad daw ni Niño na siguruhing matatanggap ng mga naapektuhan ng aksidente ang lahat ng mga pangangailngan ng mga ito sa pinasalang naidulot niya.
"I am deeply sorry to the victim, their family, and everyone affected by my negligence. I am fully cooperating with authorities as this matter is being resolved," pahabol pa ng dating child star.
