Nagbabala ang Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) sa publiko hinggil sa muling pagla-launch ng rocket ng bansang China nitong Linggo, Agosto 16.

Ayon sa inilabas na advisory ng PhilSA, ang ni-launch na rocket ng China ay ang Long March 12 rocket—na may debris na posibleng bumagsak sa drop zone na matatagpuan sa katubigan ng Pilipinas.

“The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) confirms the launch of the Long March 12 rocket from the People’s Republic of China,” saad ng PhilSA sa kanilang abiso.

Anila, “Expected debris from the rocket launch was projected to have fallen within the identified drop zone (DZ): approximately 25 NM away from Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and 19 NM away from the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park. This drop zone is within Philippine archipelagic waters.”

Anang ahensya, ikinasa ang rocket launching sa Hainan International Commercial Launch Center sa Wenchang, Hainan, dakong 12:10 ng tanghali ngayong araw.

“The Long March 12 rocket was launched from the Hainan International Commercial Launch Center in Wenchang, Hainan at around 12:10PM PhST on 16 August 2026,” anang ahensya.

“Details of the rocket drop zone were disclosed through a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) warning of an ‘aerospace flight activity.’ PhilSA disseminated a pre-launch report to relevant government agencies and authorities prior to the launch,” pagtatapos ng PhilSA.

Matatandaang kamakailan, nag-abiso rin ang ahensya hinggil naman sa pag-launch ng Jielong-3 rocket, na mula pa rin sa China.

Tinataya ring bumagsak ang debris nito sa Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) ng Pilipinas.
