Kinumpirma ng Southern Police District (SPD) na nagkaroon ng malagim na insidente ng pamamaril sa Makati City noong Lunes, Agosto 3 na bumiktima sa isang mag-ina.
Batay sa pahayag ng SPD nitong Martes, Agosto 4, bandang 6:46 ng Agosto 3 nang maganap ang pamamaril sa kahabaan ng Makati Avenue cor. Durban St., Brgy. Poblacion.
Ang trahedya ay nagdulot ng pagkasugat ng anak na 26-anyos at pagkasawi ng kaniyang inang 63-anyos, na nai-deklarang “dead on arrival” habang ibinabiyahe papuntang ospital.
Samantala, binanggit ng SPD na kasalukuyang naka-confine ang anak sa isang pampribadong ospital.
“The incident resulted in two victims, who were later established to be mother and daughter. The 26 year old female sustained gunshot wounds and is currently confined in a private hospital, while the 63 year old was declared dead on arrival at the hospital,” ani SPD.

Lumabas din sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng SPD na binaril ang mag-ina ng isang hindi pa nakikilalang suspek na nailarawan pa lamang sa suot niyang puting pantaas, maong shorts, at puting sapatos.
Saad pa sa paunang imbestigasyon, agad na tumakas ang suspek matapos ang pamamaril.
“Based on the initial investigation, the victims were shot by an unidentified male suspect described as wearing a white shirt, maong shorts, and white shoes. The suspect immediately fled the area on foot after the incident,” saad ng SPD.
Upang matiyak ang mabilis na resolusyon sa trahedya, bumuo ng Special Investigation Team (SIT) ang SPD na tututok sa imbestigasyon, pangangalap ng ebidensya, intelligence coordination, at manhunt operation para sa suspek.
“To ensure the swift resolution of the case, the Southern Police District has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) that will exclusively focus on the investigation, evidence gathering, intelligence coordination, and manhunt operations. The SIT is working closely with all concerned units to maximize investigative efforts and expedite the identification and arrest of the suspect,” saad ng SPD.
Habang ipinagpapatuloy ang masusing imbestigasyon sa pagkakakilanlan at motibo ng suspek at iba pang mga pangyayaring kaugnay ng trahedya, nanawagan ang SPD sa mga posibleng nakakita o nakakalap ng anumang impormasyon hinggil sa trahedyang naganap na makipag-ugnayan sa mga awtoridad.
“At present, the identity of the suspect, the motive behind the attack, and other circumstances surrounding the incident remain under thorough investigation. The Southern Police District assures the public that all available investigative resources are being utilized to identify, locate, and bring the perpetrator before the law at the soonest possible time,” pagtitiyak ng SPD.
“The SPD likewise appeals to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses information, CCTV footage, dashcam recordings, or any other evidence that may assist the investigation to immediately coordinate with the Makati City Police Station or the assigned Investigator on Case. All information received will be treated with utmost confidentiality,” dagdag pa ng ahensya.
