Inanunsyo ng Philippine National Police (PNP) noong Lunes, Agosto 3, na aabot sa 8,199 wanted persons ang nasakote ng mga awtoridad, sa ikinasa nilang magkakahiwalay na operasyon sa buong Pilipinas para sa buwan ng Hulyo.
Ayon sa PNP, kasabay nito ang pagkakarekober sa ₱387,136,464.40 halaga ng ilegal na droga para sa parehong buwan mula Hulyo 1 hanggang 31.
“Among the illegal drugs seized were 45,334 grams of suspected shabu, 82,036 grams of dried marijuana leaves, 320,036 marijuana plants, 336 grams of suspected cocaine, 29 grams of suspected ecstasy, and 2,123 grams of suspected kush marijuana,” pahayag ng PNP.
“Meanwhile, the PNP's campaign against wanted persons led to the arrest of 8,199 fugitives, consisting of 2,352 Most Wanted Persons and 5,847 Other Wanted Persons, through sustained intelligence-driven operations conducted by police units nationwide,” dagdag pa nila.
Anang ahensya, ang “accomplishment” ay sumasalamin sa patuloy na implementasyon nila ng PNP Focused Agenda, partikular na sa ilalim ng Enhanced Managing Police Operations.
Batay naman sa pahayag na inilahad ni PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., tanda ito ng determinasyon ng bawat pulis na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng bawat komunidad.
"Our July accomplishments reflect the determination of every police officer on the ground to keep our communities safe through lawful and focused operations. We will continue to pursue those who violate the law while ensuring that every police action is carried out with accountability and respect for the rights of all,” saad ni Nartatez.
Aniya pa, “Patuloy nating palalakasin ang ugnayan ng PNP at ng ating mga komunidad. Kapag nagtutulungan ang pulis at mamamayan, mas nagiging epektibo ang pagpigil sa krimen at mas mabilis nating naipapakita ang serbisyong nararapat sa bawat Pilipino."
