Kinaantigan ng netizens ang tagpo ng isang ama na tila sinipat ang notes at laptop ng kaniyang anak na isang engineering student, habang ito ay naka-short break.
Viral ngayon sa TikTok ang ibinahaging video ng uploader na si “sang,” kung saan makikita ang kaniyang tatay na tahimik na tinitingnan ang kaniyang school notes at laptop habang siya ay nagpapahinga.
Sa naturang video, ibinahagi niya ang ilan sa mga pinagdaanan ng kaniyang ama—isa na rito ang pagsasakripisyo nito upang siya ay makakuha ng mga oportunidad sa hinaharap.

I took a short break because my brain just couldn’t take it anymore, but while I was resting, I noticed him quietly looking at my laptop and my notes for several minutes,” mababasa sa video.
Aniya, “He never had the chance to finish his studies. He lost both of his parents at a young age and had to set aside his own dreams to take care of his younger siblings. While others were building their future in school, he was carrying responsibilities no child should have to bear.”

Sa eksklusibong panayam ng Balita kay Juriza Paje Gamayon, 20-anyos na 3rd Year Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering student sa University of Southeastern Philippines-Obrero Campus sa Davao City, isiniwalat niyang ang kaniyang ama na si Julieto Awing Gamayon, 58-anyos, isang karpintero, ay minsang nangarap maging civil engineer, batay sa kaniyang kaalaman.
Dagdag pa niya, hanggang elementarya ang natapos nito.
Gayunpaman, nagtatrabaho pa rin daw ito, sa kabila ng kaniyang edad, upang mabigyan siya ng baon tuwing siya ay papasok ng paaralan.
“Very strict si Papa pero alam kong para sa ikabubuti rin namin ‘yon pero I know his weakness, at kami ‘yon mga anak niya at mga apo niya, even at his age he would accept work sa construction para lang may pang baon ako sa school,” saad ni Gamayon.
Inilahad din niya ang dahilan kung bakit niya ibinahagi sa social media ang nasabing tagpo.
“I shared it because behind every dream is someone who sacrificed for it. This isn't just my story—it's my father's too. I want to honor the sacrifices he made and remind myself why giving up is never an option,” aniya.
Ibinahagi niya rin sa Balita ang kaniyang mensahe para sa kaniyang ama, na siyang nagsakripisyo para sa kanilang pamilya.
“I don't think I'll ever find enough words to thank you for everything you've sacrificed for our family. When I saw you quietly looking at my laptop and my reviewers, hindi ko maiwasang isipin ang mga pangarap na hindi mo naituloy. You never had the chance to finish school because life asked too much from you too early,” ani Gamayon.
“Instead of chasing your own dreams, you chose to carry responsibilities that weren't even yours to begin with. Every time I get tired of studying, I remind myself that I'm living the opportunity you never had. Kaya kahit sobrang hirap, kahit gusto ko nang sumuko minsan, I can't. Because this dream is no longer just mine—it's ours,” dagdag pa niya.
“One day, when I finally earn the title ‘Engr.’, I hope you'll look at me with the biggest smile and know that every sacrifice you made was never in vain. This title will always belong to you as much as it belongs to me. I love you, Pa,” pagtatapos ni Gamayon.
