DMW: Walang Pinoy na nasawi, nasaktan sa magnitude 7.1 lindol sa Japan

Iniulat ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) nitong Miyerkules, Hulyo 29, na walang Pilipinong nasaktan o nasawi mula sa yumanig na magnitude 7.1 na lindol sa Kumamoto, sa timog na bahagi ng Japan dakong 4:27 ng hapon noong Martes, Hulyo 28.

Ayon sa DMW, patuloy na tinitiyak ng ahensya ang kaligtasan ng mga Pilipino sa naapektuhang lugar ng lindol.

“The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), through the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Osaka, is monitoring the condition of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) after the magnitude 7.1 earthquake that struck Kumamoto in southern Japan at 4:27 p.m. on July 28, 2026,” saad ng DMW sa kanilang ulat.

Anila, “As of the issuance of this advisory, no injuries or casualties involving Filipino nationals have been reported.”

“The MWO and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Osaka are coordinating with the Philippine Consulate General in Osaka and the Filipino community to verify the safety and welfare of OFWs in the affected areas,” dagdag pa nila.

Abiso pa ng ahensya sa mga Pilipinong malapit sa nasabing pagyanig, manatili silang alerto at mapagmatyag; at maghanda sa mga posibleng aftershocks na dala ng naturang lindol.

“The DMW advises Filipinos in Kyushu and surrounding areas to remain vigilant, prepare for possible aftershocks, and follow official updates from local authorities and the Japan Meteorological Agency,” anang ahensya.

“The DMW will issue additional advisories as verified information becomes available,” pagtatapos ng DMW.
