Aminado si Senate President Win Gatchalian na hindi raw kakayanin ng Senado na sagutin ang catering service para sa pagkain ng defense team ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Sa kaniyang pahayag nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 23, 2026, diretsahang sinabi ni Gatchalian na hindi nila kayang pagbigyan ang hiling ni VP Sara.
“We cannot afford it,” ani Gatchalian.
Matatandaang noong Miyerkules, Hulyo 22 nang kumalat ang liham ni VP Sara para kay SP Win hinggil sa kaniyang tatlong kahilingan na nagsasaad na sagutin ng Senado ang bayad sa accredited catering service ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) para sa kanilang defense team.
"All food and beverage intended for the members of the defense team, support staff, and witnesses shall be served exclusively in their designated holding room," saad ng unang request ni VP Sara.

"The OVP respectfully requests that the Senate shoulder the reasonable costs of food and beverage and catering services for the defense team, support staff, and witnesses," anang dokumento.
