Kinumpirma na sa official site ng Japanese manga at animated series, “Naruto” na nasa pre-production na ang inaabangang live action adaptation nito at sa kasalukuyan, umaarangkada na rin ang global casting search para sa mga gaganap sa karakter ng tatlong “OG” o original na miyembro ng “Team 7” na sina Naruto, Sasuke, at Sakura.
Saad sa pahayag na inilabas sa Naruto official site nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 10, ang global casting ay pinangunahan ni studio at filmmaker, Destin Daniel Cretton, na nakilala sa pagiging direktor ng ilang pelikula tulad ng “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” na parte ng Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) at “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
Sa kaniyang social media, kinilala ni Cretton ang may akda ng Naruto na si Masashi Kishimoto, at binanggit na ang kaniyang mga isinulat na istorya ay isang inspirasyon sa iba’t ibang henerasyon ng fans nito.
Bilang isang direktor, maituturing din ni Cretton na karangalan maipalabas sa big screen ang kaniyang live action adaptation ng Naruto.

"Kishimoto-sensei's stories have inspired generations of fans around the world, and it’s an honor to bring his world and characters to the big screen in live action for the very first time. I'm thrilled to kick off this worldwide casting search for our Team 7 and to bring the incredible universe of Naruto to life!" ani Cretton.
Sa kabilang banda, tila hindi rin makapaniwala si Kishimoto na ipalalabas bilang Hollywood movie ang Naruto, at aniya pa, isang himala na pinangungunahan ni Cretton ang produksyon nito.
"Right now, miracles are happening to me, one after another. My work, Naruto, is truly, truly becoming a Hollywood movie! And an even greater miracle is that the film will be directed by the one and only Destin Daniel Cretton. I still cannot believe it! If so many miracles have already come together, then let us hope for even more,” masayang saad ni Kishimoto.
Dahil dito, lubos ang excitement ni Kishimoto na makilala ang mga aktor na gaganap sa mga karakter na binuo niya.
“I am eagerly looking forward to the miraculous encounters that will bring us extraordinary and passionate actors! I cannot wait to meet my characters in the film!" dagdag pa ni Kishimoto.
