Inanunsiyo na ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang unang bugso ng mga kalahok na pelikula sa 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Sa ginanap na 52nd MMFF Kickoff and Announcement of the First Batch of Official Film Entries nitong Martes, Hulyo 7, apat na pelikula ang kanilang ipinakilala.

Nagsilbing host ng programa sina TV5 showbiz news presenter Jervi "Kaladkaren" Wrightson at Kapuso actor Michael Sager.
Samantala, kabilang naman sa mga nagtanghal sina dating "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" Brent Manalo, Ralph de Leon, River Joseph, at ang girl group na Baby Dolls.
Matatandaang nauna nang kinumpirma ang pagsasama nina "It's Showtime" host Vice Ganda at "Eat Bulaga" host Vic Sotto sa "The Greatest Showdown" noong Hulyo 5.
Pero bago ito, nagbatian pa ang dalawa sa kani-kanilang noontime show.
