Naglabas ng pahayag si Davao 1st district Rep. Paolo "Pulong" Duterte hinggil sa pagsisimula ng impeachment trial ng kaniyang kapatid na si Vice President Sara Duterte.
Sa pamamagitan ng Facebook post nitong Lunes, Hulyo 6, iginiit ni Pulong na nais din daw nilang magkaroon ng isang patas na paglilitis.
"Like many Filipinos, I hope the proceedings will be conducted fairly, professionally, and without unnecessary distractions," anang mambabatas.
Saad pa ni Pulong, karapatan din umano ng mga Pilipino na malaman ang totoo at mga ebidensyang hindi nahaluan ng mga propaganda.
"The Filipino people deserve facts, not rumors. Evidence, not innuendo. Truth, not propaganda," aniya pa.

Bagama't hindi sumipot ang kaniyang kapatid na si VP Sara sa lahat ng mga naging pagdinig noon at maging sa unang araw ng impeachment trial, may tiwala raw siyang masasagot nio ang mga paratang iniuugnay laban sa kaniya.
"Vice President Sara Duterte has made it clear that she is prepared to face the charges against her. We are confident that she will be given the opportunity to answer every allegation in the proper forum and under the proper process," ani Rep. Pulong.
Sa kabila nito, naniniwala pa rin daw ang kampo ng kapatid ni VP Sara na na magiging totoo ang kakahinatnan ng impeachment trial.
"We remain hopeful that this trial will not only settle the issues being raised but also expose the motivations behind them," giit niya.
Hirit pa niya, "Let the evidence speak. Let the facts prevail. Let the truth come out."
Matatandaang nitong Lunes din nang opisyal na magsimula ang impeachment trial para sa apat na articles of impeachment na nakabala laban kay VP Sara.
Si VP Sara ang kauna-unahang Vice President at may pinakamataas na posisyon sa bansa na isinasakdal sa impeachment court.
