Isinilang na ni GMA Integrated News reporter Mav Gonzales ang first baby nila ng mister niyang si Matthew Valeña na si Maya.
Sa latest Facebook post ni Mav nitong Lunes, Mayo 25, ikinuwento niyang nadalian lang umano siya sa pagle-labor.
“The only problem — the baby wasn’t moving down,” saad ni Mav. “We tried different positions. In the tub. Squatting. Sitting a stool. Lying sideways on the bed. She still wasn’t moving. And then the doctor said my bladder is already bleeding because the baby’s head was bumping into it.”
“He gave me an epidural to relax the muscles,” pagpapatuloy niya. “WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE NOT BEING ABLE TO FEEL OR MOVE MY LEGS. Anyway she eventually came out with the help of a vacuum. Apparently her cord was so short so it was like playing a tug of war between the outside world and her placenta.”
Sa kabila nito, nailabas pa rin naman niya nang buhay ang bata mula sa kaniyang sinapupunan.

Aniya, “While I was dipping in and out of consciousness, I saw Matt on the couch in his jeans and silly hair cover. Holding our daughter. He smiled at me.”
“I remember praying, ‘God please don’t let me die. Not now that I just got my family.’ I hadn’t even bonded with my baby yet,” dugtong pa ni Mav.
Matatandaang Disyembre 2025 nang inaanunsiyo ni Mav na nagdadalang-tao siya. Ito ay kahit na ilang buwan bago ang kasal nila ni Matthew ay na-diagnose siyang may Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
