Inanunsyo ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) na biglaang dagsa ng user activity ang dahilan ng naganap na malawakang “temporary interruption” sa serbisyo ng eGovPH App. 

Sa pahayag ng DICT noong Huwebes, Abril 30, ibinahagi nilang habang lubos na nakaapekto sa teknikal na aspeto ng eGovPH App ang hindi inaasahang dagsa ng user activity, kinikilala nilang sinasalamin ng insidenteng ito ang pangangailangan ng publiko na magkaroon ng access dito para sa mas pinaiging serbisyo ng pamahalaan. 

Bilang tugon, tiniyak naman ng DICT na agad nang isinaayos ng kanilang technical teams ang interruption sa app at patuloy nilang pinapalakas ang system capacity at performance ng eGovApp PH upang matiyak ang banayad na serbisyo sa kabila ng pagdami ng gumagamit nito. 

“The disruption was caused by an unexpected surge in user activity, which placed significant demand on system capacity. Our technical teams immediately responded, and affected services were promptly restored,” ani DICT. 

“This incident reflects the growing number of Filipinos using digital government platforms every day. As adoption continues to increase, DICT is undertaking the necessary enhancements to strengthen system capacity, improve performance, and ensure greater reliability during periods of high demand,” dagdag pa nito.

Binanggit din ng DICT na kasalukuyan na silang nakikipag-ugnayan sa Department of Budget and Management at iba pang kaugnay na ahensya hinggil sa pondo ng eGov PH App upang matugunan ang kanilang long-term resource planning at modernisasyon nito. 

“DICT acknowledges the concerns raised during the Senate hearing regarding the funding requirements of these critical services. We are working closely with the Department of Budget and Management and other concerned agencies to support long-term resource planning and sustain the continued modernization of critical digital infrastructure,” pagkilala ng DICT. 

“We remain fully committed to providing secure, reliable, and accessible digital public services through the eGovPH App and other government platforms,” pagtitiyak pa nila.
