Siniguro ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na magiging mapayapa at maayos ang paggunita ng kapatirang Muslim sa Eid’l Fitr, o ang pagtatapos ng Pista ng Ramadan sa Sabado, Marso 21.
Sa isang pahayag na ibinahagi ni PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. nitong Biyernes, Marso 20, inihayag niyang handa ang kapulisan sa nasabing kaganapan.
“Our security plan is in place to give our Muslim brothers the peace of mind on this important and sacred occasion. Our personnel on the ground are always ready to assist,” saad ni Nartatez.
Aniya, “Our priority is the safety of all Filipino citizens. We will deploy police units in key areas, coordinate with local leaders, and ensure peace during Eid prayers.”
Nilinaw din ng PNP chief na organisado na ang traffic at crowd management ng mga lugar na paggaganapan ng naturang kapistahan.
“We have traffic and crowd management plans in place, especially near major mosques. Hinihikayat namin ang everyone na sumunod sa traffic rules para maiwasan ang abala. Quick response teams and medical units will be on standby. Agad kaming tutugon sa anumang insidente para sa kaligtasan ng publiko,” anang PNP chief.
“Nakikiisa ang buong PNP sa inyong pasasalamat at pagtatapos ng Ramadan. Patuloy po tayong magtulungan para sa kapayapaan. We wish you a solemn and joyous celebration. Eid Mubarak!” pagtatapos ni Nartatez.
Sa kaugnay na ulat, nagpahayag din si Vice President Sara Duterte ng kaniyang pakikiisa sa paggunita ng Eid’l Fitr.
“I join the entire Muslim Ummah—especially our brothers and sisters across the Philippines and those living and working in the Middle East, and all corners of the globe—in celebrating the blessed occasion of Eid al-Fitr. As you mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, we celebrate a journey defined by prayer, sacrifice, and deep spiritual reflection,” saad ni VP Sara sa kaniyang pahayag nito ring Biyernes, Marso 20.
