Dumami ang mga Pilipinong walang trabaho noong Enero 2026, base sa inilatag na datos ng Philippine Statistics Authority nitong Biyernes, Marso 13.
Ayon sa ulat PSA, pumalo sa 5.8% ang unemployment rate sa Pilipinas noong Enero 2026, katumbas ng 2.96 milyong indibidwal na walang trabaho.
Base pa sa kanilang ulat, mas mataas ito sa 4.3% na naitala noong Enero 2025, na umabot naman sa 2.17 milyong mga Pilipino na walang trabaho.
“The country’s unemployment rate was estimated at 5.8 percent in January 2026, higher than the 4.3 percent unemployment rate recorded in January 2025 and the 5.0 percent unemployment rate in October 2025,” saad ng PSA.

Samantala, naiulat naman ang 94.2% employment rate sa bansa noong Enero 2026, mas mababa sa parehong panahon noong 2025, na nakapagtala ang bansa ng 95.7%.
“The employment rate in January 2026 was recorded at 94.2 percent, lower than the January 2025 employment rate of 95.7 percent. In October 2025, the employment rate was posted at 95.0 percent,” anang PSA.

Base pa sa kanilang ulat, ilan lamang ang Administrative and Support Service Activities, Public Administration and Defense; Compulsory Social Security, Manufacturing, Transportation and Storage, at Human health and social work activities sa mga sektor na may paglobo sa employment ng bansa.
Samantala, naitala naman sa sektor ng Agriculture and Forestry, Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, Fishing and aquaculture, Financial and insurance activities, at Real estate activities ang “annual decrease” sa mga manggagawang Pilipino.
