Naglabas ng pahayag ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) kaugnay sa pamamaril sa kabaro nilang si Engr. Karen Corsino Del Valle na nakadestino sa tanggapan ng ahensya sa Northern Samar 1st District Engineering Office.
Sa latest Facebook post ng DPWH nitong Lunes, Marso 9, nagdalamhati sila at kinondena ang pamamaslang na ginawa kay Del Valle.
“The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) family mourns and condemns the fatal shooting of our colleague, Engineer Karen Corsino Del Valle of the DPWH Northern Samar 1st District Engineering Office,” saad ng ahensya.
Dagdag pa nila, “DPWH stands in solidarity with Engr. Del Valle’s family and urges authorities to conduct a swift and thorough investigation.”
Kaugnay nito, nag-alok si DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon at dating Northern Samar 1st District Rep. Paul Daza ng ₱100,000 para sa sinomang makapagbibigay ng impormasyon sa kinaroroonan ng suspek na si Sgt. Jerome Lluz Tejero.

“We also pray for the speedy recovery of Engr. Del Valle’s brother, who was injured and is currently in critical condition,” pahabol pa ng DPWH.
