“Today, we honor Filipino women leaders who fight for human rights, social justice, and democratic governance. Their leadership shows that women in politics can dismantle systems of abuse and inequality,” saad ni David.
Aniya, “Unfortunately, Vice President Sara Duterte, the highest elected woman in our country, represents the opposite of what women’s leadership should stand for. She is a terrible example for women in politics.”
“For all the statements the Vice President issued this week, she can’t even utter a word to defend women against the misogyny of the likes of Congressman Bong Suntay,” aniya.
“Rather than challenging dynastic rule and patriarchal values, she embodies them. Instead of accountable governance, her record reflects gross incompetence, betrayal of national interest, massive corruption, and the lingering shadow of extrajudicial killings linked to the Dutertes,” anang Akbayan president.
“Our participation should dismantle political dynasties, strengthen institutions, and uphold justice, not legitimize old, abusive powers,” dagdag pa niya.
“Women in politics must stand for integrity, social justice, and human dignity. That is the kind of leadership we must uplift and fight for, not the perpetuation of dynastic rule, impunity, and failed governance represented by Vice President Sara Duterte,” pagtatapos niya.
“I stand in solidarity with every Filipino woman this National Women’s Month. Women do not just survive crises—we rebuild lives and communities.
