Binigyang-diin ni Sen. Imee Marcos ang pangangailangang masuri ang paratang ng 18 dating marines tungkol sa ilang indibidwal na tumanggap umano ng male-maletang pera.
Sa latest Facebook post ni Sen. Imee nitong Martes, Marso 3, sinabi niyang hindi umano ito kuwestiyon tungkol sa kung karapat-dapat bang igalang ang affidavit ng mga dating miyembro ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
“When accusations of such seriousness are made under pain of perjury, the duty of our institution is not to ignore them, but to examine them,” saad ni Sen. Imee.
Dagdag pa niya, "Indeed, the claim that 802 billion pesos of physical cash passed through a single person in a span of just two years is incredible.”
Kaya naman mas may dahilan umano ang mga affiant na ipaliwanag at patunayan ang kanilang mga alegasyon sa ilalim ng pagsusuri.

Aniya, “An inquiry protects not only the public interest, but also the reputations of those accused.”
“Should the investigation ultimately reveal that the allegations are fabricated, then justice equally demands that those who maliciously dragged the names of others into controversy be held accountable,” dugtong pa ng senadora.
